Our Peak Challenge Edale Skyline trek begins and ends in Hope (no pun intended!) From the little village of Hope this beautiful walk ascends Win Hill before heading north west along a fabulous ridge with Ladybower reservoir down to your right and the Edale Valley to your left. Following this we begin the ascent of Kinder Scout, the scene of the 1936 mass trespass which was the founding act in the formation of our National Parks in Great Britain.
The vast boggy and deeply eroded upland plateau of Kinder Scout is then negotiated and navigated before arriving at the wonderful Kinder Downfall waterfall which on a windy day does not reach the floor as the wind pushes the magnificent waterfall back uphill.
From the downfall we head south along another fantastic edge with views out westwards towards the great city of Manchester before heading over towards the great ridge which forms the southern flank of the Edale valley.
After a brief water stop on the narrow road across is the edge we head over to mum tour and then again the rich proper towards Loose Hill before descending back to Hope and the finish.
