Terms and Conditions
Fees and costing structure
All fees for our Challenges are outlined on our website and as such are the definitive costs that should be referenced.
The dates shown on our website are fixed and immovable.
However new dates can be created should potential participant numbers be favourable.
If in any doubt please send us an email to enquire about alternative dates.
How to book
Our website is incredibly simple to use and the booking process should take you right through to completion with your deposit paid and the remaining figure outstanding in your account.
If for any reason the system fails then please do get in contact with us via email or instant messenger.
Acceptance of your booking and your payments
Our automated booking system on our website will take you through the whole process through to acceptance and payment.
If there are any issues in this process then please do get in contact with us by email or messenger.
We ask that you notify us of any medical conditions that may hinder or impair your safety whilst on your challenge.
Post booking if anything comes to light to do with your medical condition then again we ask for you to notify us of these changes and we will endeavour to accommodate you as best we can.
Cancellation or alterations by you, the client
Should you wish to change the details of your booking or indeed cancel your booking for any reason we will do our upmost to accommodate you.
Cancellation or alterations by Peak Challenge
Should we, at Peak Challenge, ever have to change or cancel your challenge then we will communicate with you as soon as possible.
If we cannot provide a suitable alternative in a timescale that is satisfactory then we will refund all monies within 14 days.
Although we have full public liability insurance we recommend that you arrange adequate personal insurance cover if you deem this necessary. If any insurance is purchased then you should carefully check the terms of any proposed insurance policy to ensure that it meets your requirements.
Peak Challenge does not offer insurance of any type to it’s clients.
In these Terms and Conditions ‘force majeure’ means any event that we, or the supplier of the services in question, could not foresee, or avoid, even with all due care. Such events include, but are not limited to war, the threat of war, riot, civil strife, industrial dispute, hostilities, political unrest, government action, terrorist activity, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, acts of God, adverse weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances.
No smoking policy
So hopefully you’re coming on a Peak Challenge to potentially change your life and maybe make some health changes for the better. So with this in mind you’re probably best not to smoke whilst out on your challenge.
On another note if the weather is hot and dry like the summer of 2018 it is also a major fire hazard.
So we’ve taken the decision for 2019 and onwards to be a wholly no smoking business.
Our minimum age for participants that are not accompanied by their parents or guardians is 18 years of age.
For participants who are accompanied by the parents or guardians then the minimum age is 14 years of age.
Your safety and participation
Adventurous activities are potentially hazardous with a danger of personal injury and death.
By booking with Peak Challenge we ask you to be aware of this fact and to accept these risks.
We ask that you will be responsible for your own actions and involvement during your challenge.
Our leaders and instructors are highly qualified and highly experienced such that they will lead your challenge with a high level of safety throughout. To enable Peak Challenge to manage these risks you agree to acknowledge the need for responsible behaviour and that the leaders’ word is final on all matters of safety.
You confirm that you are familiar with the nature of the challenge that you wish to undertake and acknowledge those risks that are inherent therein and that you may freely withdraw from the challenge and there is no pressure whatsoever to take part.
The act of booking with Peak Challenge gives your consent to undertake the booked challenge.
Under no circumstances would you be entitled to a refund due to unforeseen or abnormal weather events.
Each of our challenges has bad weather alternatives and as such on the actual day of your challenge our initial intended route might be altered to suit the weather.
We will always endeavour to fulfil your challenge in the best way possible
Photographs video and marketing Material
Photographs and videos may be taken by our instructors during your challenge for marketing and promotional purposes. A selection of these will be uploaded to our social media sites and may be used for other marketing purposes and publications. It is our policy to also retain the anonymity of our clients.
You also consent to us using any feedback from you in any form of marketing we choose.
Feedback and complaints procedure
We absolutely love your feedback.
It allows us to grow and develop as a business and to constantly improve our offerings.
Whether your feedback is good or bad we will take it in good faith and open up channels of communication with you.
Should the feedback be negative in the form of a complaint that we ask that you come directly to us or to your mountain leader to re-lay your fears or disappointment rather than jumping onto social media where people will only get part of the story.
You have our word that we will take your feedback seriously.
